The NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS4A00-XM compatible 1.6Tb/s twin-port OSFP single-mode optical transceiver is engineered specifically for ultra-high-speed XDR 800Gb/s InfiniBand networking and AI data center fabrics. The module integrates two independent 800Gb/s DR4 optical engines (2×DR4). Each engine operates with 4 lanes of 200G-PAM4 signaling, resulting in an electrical configuration of 8 lanes of 200G-PAM4 to deliver high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity over distances up to 500 meters.

On the optical side, the transceiver provides two DR4 interfaces over two MPO-12/APC connectors, supporting parallel optical transmission over single-mode fiber (SMF). This dual-engine 2×800G architecture enables the Quantum-X800 QM3400 72-cage switch to scale up to 144 ports of 800Gb/s InfiniBand connectivity. Built with an Integrated Heat Sink (IHS / Finned Top) shell, this module meets the rigorous thermal requirements of high-density XDR switch and server environments.
