The NVIDIA/Mellanox compatible OSFP optical transceiver series provides ultra-high-speed connectivity tailored for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI data center networks using InfiniBand XDR and NDR protocols. Leading the lineup is the flagship 1.6Tb/s twin-port OSFP 2xDR4 transceiver (MMS4A00-XM compatible), which integrates two independent 800Gb/s DR4 optical engines. Each engine operates with 4 lanes of 200G-PAM4 signaling, utilizing an electrical configuration of 8x212Gb/s PAM4 to deliver low-latency, parallel single-mode fiber (SMF) connectivity over distances up to 500 meters.

Featuring dual MPO-12/APC optical interfaces and high-performance 1310nm EML laser transmitters paired with PIN receivers, this dual-engine 2×800G architecture enables the Quantum-X800 QM3400 72-cage switch to scale up to 144 ports of 800Gb/s InfiniBand connectivity. Enclosed in an Integrated Heat Sink (IHS / Finned Top) shell operating within a power envelope of ≤33.5W and case temperatures from 20°C to +70°C, these modules ensure maximum thermal efficiency across dense AI compute topologies and NVIDIA DGX B300 server connections.
