A world's first APO lens at this focal length, the 21mm f/2 is another addition to an already impressive array of APO-Summicron-SL lenses and features Leica's fast Dual Synchro Drive autofocus system. The combination of a bright f/2 maximum aperture and wide-angle view allows this lens to excel in several shooting scenarios including landscape, interior, street, and architectural photography.

World's First 21mm APO Lens

Being an APO lens, the 21mm f/2 dramatically reduces chromatic aberration and produces sharp, color-accurate images with ample contrast between your focal point and background. Leica's use of three aspherical lens elements and low-dispersion glass reduces color fringing and allows all colors to converge on the same focal plane.

Dual Synchro Drive AF

The autofocus system featured in Leica Summicron-SL lenses provides fast and silent focusing performance from 0.21m to infinity. With the combination of a constant aperture of f/2 and Leica's Dual Synchro Drive AF, this lens creates visually stunning video and panoramas.
